Introduction To Christianity (Velankanni)

Duration: 3 nights / 4 days

Velankanni is a pilgrimage place for Christians from all over the world. Situated on the shores of Bay of Bengal, it is known for its Roman Catholic shrine dedicated to “Our lady of good health”. The church was raised to the status of Basilica in 1962 by his holiness POPE JOHN XXIII. It is accessible by road both from Chennai (300 km / 6 hrs drive) and Trichy (160 km / 03 hrs drive). St. Thomas Church in Chennai - one of the twelve Disciples of Christ is also part of the tour.

Introduction To Christianity (Velankanni)

Itinerary (Chennai - Velankanni - Chennai)

	Day 1: Arrive Chennai - Velankanni (150 km / 03 hrs drive)
	On arrival our representative shall meet you at the airport and straight away drive you to Velankanni. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Later a visit to Velankanni Church - Our lady of Health. Overnight at hotel.

	Day 2: Velankanni
	The day is at your disposal to explore the ancient holy town of Velankanni. There is museum having rich variety of exhibits including offerings made by devotees. Overnight hotel.

	Day 3: Velankanni - Chennai
	Today we shall provide you transfer to Trichy airport for flight to Chennai. On arrival in Chennai transfer to hotel. Later a city tour covering - St Thomas Mount Church, Marina beach, fort museum, national art gallery, Doveton house, snake part etc. Overnight at hotel.

	Day 4: Chennai Departure
	Today we shall provide you with transfer to airport for flight back home.
